unifi Video 3.9.3 doesn't show tumbnails after upgrade from 3.8.61

After manual upgrade to 3.9.3  it fails to show thumb nails and shows

the following on the Recordings page.

1.JPG

I get the following in the logs

1520878678.248 2018-03-12 11:17:58.248/PDT: ERROR  Camera[59380d3fe4b06ba5f802a53f] Unable to fetch image for Recording[5aa6c449e4b00c35ecf3c273]: null (DT Front door) in CameraService-TaskExecutor-033
1520878651.772 2018-03-12 11:17:31.772/PDT: ERROR  Camera[59380d3fe4b06ba5f802a53f] Unable to fetch image for Recording[5aa6c424e4b00c35ecf3c217]: Timed out after 15000ms (DT Front door) in CameraService-TaskExecutor-019

This only started after the upgrade.  I've read a lot of posts about restarting unifi-video services which I've done. and i've done the Tools/Analyze button with and without restore recordings check.  I'm working on an external 4tb drive with only 1tb in use   and the internal drive has 320gb free. Recordings do work  and red dots appear on the recordings page, just no thumbnails

Chrome Console shows Failed to load resource: /api/2.0/snapshot/recording/58e7cd62e4b0e5de970a2604/2018/03/12/5aa6c4d9e4b00c35ecf3c3ed?width=240 the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)

and i've searched for /api/2.0/snapshot/recordings and I can't find it, as in
find / -name recordings -print

find / -name 2.0 -print

find / -name api -print  shows

/usr/share/doc/libcommons-daemon-java/api
/mnt/.rofs/usr/share/doc/libcommons-daemon-java/api

but no  file path 2.0/

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @awallace,

Did you have a custom SSL certificate loaded on the NVR prior to the upgrade?

Can you verify the ownership on your recording directory with this command?

sudo chown -R unifi-video:unifi-video /path/to/recordings

Re: unifi Video 3.9.3 doesn't show tumbnails after upgrade from 3.8.61

I do have the same issue. It's been this way for a while but i really like to fix it.

Things already done:

Reinstalled version v3.9.4 - not solved

Remove all keystores and server.crt/key files and reinstalled v3.9.4 - not solved

Reinstalled the let's encrypt certificates - not solved

Checked permissions on /var/lib/unifi-video/videos/ - all good but issue not solved

What else can i check? It's a Unifi NVR which has been reinstalled with Debian Jessie.
