AP-HD 5GHz Radio Bouncing

Hi Everyone,

We updated a AP-HD to 4.0.14, and I decided to try out VHT160.  I quickly found out that my devices don't support VHT160, and set it back to 80.  After doing so the radio seems to be bouncing, and isn't able to hold a connection.  I've attached a screenshot of the messages log.  So far I've tried updating/downgrading to 4.0.15, 4.0.10, and 3.9.54, and resetting to defaults with no luck.  Any of you have an idea what I should try next?

I reset it again, but still no luck. Thanks for the suggestion though! On another note I was able to reproduce the issue with a second AP-HD by upgrading to 4.0.14 and setting the radio to VHT80.

I also see some logs popup when changing channel width but I ain't seeing timeouts...

Another update: I reset the AP to 4.0.15 via the tftp recovery process, and still no luck. I'm wondering if this is a hardware issue, and if so maybe we got a bad batch? We had a batch of 25 delivered recently.

I haven't tried more than 2 so far because I was afraid of messing them up as well. I know these AP's were both working before the 4.0.14 firmware update. I'll try a couple more here soon and let you know.

Ok, I tried two more APs, and didn't have any luck. Weird part is that these are both on 3.9.54, and haven't been upgraded past that before. Also for good measure I tried switching between a PoE injector and a ES-48-500W switch for power, as well as changing which site the AP was in. Last thing I noticed was that we have one other UAP-HD in the wild on 4.0.14, and it seems to be working normally. It was also from this same batch, so I'm not sure how it is working at the moment.

Sorry, I meant the 5GHz radio immediately starts going up and down.  Nothing will connect to it, as it is going up and down once every couple seconds.  I made a quick gif of what I mean using UBNT's wifiman app on my phone.

Could be a bad unit...

Hmm... try flashing it to 3.9.54... I’m hoping thay Ben Buckley will respond soon ( most likely gonna be after the weekend )
