Cloud Key Wizard fails "An error occurred"

Trying to setup a physical cloud key on my existing network to replace a Raspberry Pi based one.

The Pi is disconnected (got corrupted), and I am going through the setup wizard on the new key.

When I hit "Finish" at the end I get the oh-so-helpful error message "An error occurred".

Absolutely no idea what is wrong. Any ideas?

I have factory reset everything else as well, so its essentially a clean/new setup and still get the same useless error.

Re: Cloud Key Wizard fails "An error occurred"

Hello @TBarkus,

I can give this a shot on my UCK later on... for now could you try the setup wizard on 5.9.29?

apt purge unifi -y
wget https://dl.ubnt.com/unifi/5.9.29/unifi_sysvinit_all.deb dpkg -i unifi_sysvinit_all.deb rm unifi_sysvinit_all.deb

Glenn R.

Re: Cloud Key Wizard fails "An error occurred"

Hello @TBarkus,

Could you make a screenshot of the entire page?

What controller version are you using?

What UCK firmware are you on?

Could you send me the controller logs?

Regards,

Glenn R.

Re: Cloud Key Wizard fails "An error occurred"

That did it. Downgrading was able to let the wizard finally finish.

Thank you very much for the help.

Guys, I'm having the exact same issue. How do I send these commands to downgrade? My Cloud Key is running 5.10.12.

Re: Cloud Key Wizard fails "An error occurred"

That worked! Thanks so much. Is it safe to upgrade the firmware now or should I keep it on 5.9.29?

Re: Cloud Key Wizard fails "An error occurred"

I have unable to downgrade without factory resetting the Cloud key again.   Was hoping the Cloud key would make my life easier, but it's been a super frustrating experience moving from a Controller on a PC to the Cloud key!
