Connect NAS to Ubiquiti network

Purchased a set of ubiquit network productions during the thanksgiving, USG, U-switch-150w and 2 AP PRO. The network is up and running without problem. Since my previous router has build-in NAS, i will want to use it as network disk in the new system but I met connection problem.

The USG was set to 192.168.88.x, and old router has static IP 192.168.31.1. I tried add a new VLAN 192.168.31.X, but it doesn't work. I cannot ping to old outer. If I setup USG to same network 192.168.31.X, it works but I want the network disk on different network so I can specify different firewall rule.

Any suggestion?

Re: Connect NAS to Ubiquiti network

Turn off all routing and DHCP functionality from the old router, and set it with a static IP on 192.168.88.x.  Once you've done that you can create a firewall rule just for that specific IP using a source address rule.
