Well done guys...

Is this being pushed out for the controllers to see or do we have to wait for the usual few days for the workflows to pick up the changes and push out?

Does this actually include AP mitigation for the attack or only STA mode fixes?  The release notes aren't clear.

Will you guys push this firmware to UniFi controller 5.5.24?

I have few Picostation left on my site. but I don't see the firmware for Picostation M2HP (which was converted to use UniFi firmware). Will the Picostation M2HP get a fix for WPA2 vulnerability too?

We have CloudKey v0.74 and Controller Version 5.5.24 and want to upgrade the new version to our UniFi AP-AC-Pro's. With the Custom Upgrade it seems that it doesn't work. Do we need a newer controller version?

Sorry my fault - I should already took the correct update path. It is working now but I have the same issue that the Access Points now offering to "upgrade" the APs from 3.9.3 to 3.8.14.

It has been pushed out to 5.6.16 and later. It has not (yet) been pushed to 5.5.x. I will follow up later today in regards to that.

For now, it has only been pushed to 5.6.16+. I will follow up on that later today.

The PicoM2 hasn't been updated in a long time. We did miss the update on PicoM2 running UniFi firmware. We hope to have a firmware published this week (maybe even today) for this device (within the 3.3.x branch).

Cheers,

Mike

Where do we find 5.6.16? On https://www.ubnt.com/download/unifi/ the latest controller version is 5.5.24

Re: [FIRMWARE] 3.9.3.7537 for UAP/USW has been released

Is there any comment on how your propriatary "Unifi Fast Roaming" interacts with the KRACK vuln? 802.11r is claimed to facilitate wormholing (kinda like a layer 1 MITM attack, which makes the other replay and modification easier), I'm assuming fast roaming does the same?

There's very little detail available about how "UniFi Fast Roaming" works, so I'm kinda in the dark about what might be possible.

I was just wondering the exact same thing. I forced 3.9.3 on my APs, but my "latest" v5.5.24 controller is offering to "upgrade" the APs from 3.9.3 to 3.8.14... Man Happy

Great question. STA mode fixes. We have been working with the team that discovered this vulnerability, and to my knowledge they have confirmed they we fixed the issue (although I can't say I was directly in contact with them). If there are any improvements or extra fixes that can help mitigate the vulnerability then we will definitely implement them.

You can't upgrade from 5.5.24 to 5.6.16. If you aren't on 5.6.x branch now, then go direclty to 5.6.18 (found HERE). I would suggest waiting until later today though. We are planning to post 5.6.19 to the blog.

Re: [FIRMWARE] 3.9.3.7537 for UAP/USW has been released

I'm not complaining - half an hour after I read about this, Ubiquiti had a patch available for me.  I can live with doing the upgrade as a custom firmware and an illogical firmware update suggestion Man Happy

Kudos to the UBNT team for pushing this out quickly!

Re: [FIRMWARE] 3.9.3.7537 for UAP/USW has been released

Mike Good morning,
I have the version of controller 5.2.9, what do you recommend I upgrade to version 5.5 or 5.6?
To not stop all my clients updating controller, can I with this version of controller 5.2.9, update my unifi AP to version 3.9.3.7537?

Nice, and then it would be great that one could also upgrade to it with the upgrade command.

running 5.6.18 and have UAP-AC and UAP-AC v2, dont seem to be getting the autofirmare updates.

For my UAP-AC-Pro I get the autofirmware already.

Is there a delay the UAP AC's ?

My understanding is that the UAP-AC and UAP-AC v2 dont get firmware 3.9.x, but only get 3.8.x as they are now on LTS only (see UAP-AC/UAP-AC-Outdoor LTS Announcement ). It's unclear what this means for this particular issue. I would assume that LTS means security patches, but we may have to wait longer it seems.
