I've upgraded both my UAP-AC-HD and UAP-AC-SHD to this firmware now.

I look forward to seeing is 160VHT makes any difference for me.

Unless you have devices which are capable of 160 (very few if any exist), then you won’t

Upgraded my AC-Lite to 4.0.15 two hours ago. So far memory usage looks a lot better and more stable than with previous 4.0.x releases. In fact, so far it looks even better than it did in 3.9.54, which is very promising. I'll keep an eye on it over the next few days, but it looks like they may have found the issue with higher/unstable memory usage with UAPG2 devices.

Upgraded to 4.0.15.9872 from 4.0.9.9636 on UAP-AC-PRO Gen 2 and don't observe any issues (skipped 4.0.10.9653 due to the boatloads of problem reports from users).

For those of you that are running the controller on-prem, are you running it on Nix or Windows? You're the type of person I'm interested in the response from (the type actively checking and updating pre-release firmware on prod/test WAP's).
I know it's probably the wrong area of the forum to ask but I might as well ask instead of starting a new thread (didn't find what I was looking for via search).
Thanks

I'm running my controller on a RPi3B, I am considering upgrading to a 3B+.
It's running the raspberry ver of Debian.

Well when I got home and checked the WiFi analyzer app on my phone the channel range of the one that chould be doing 160vht wasn't any larger than the one doing 80vht.

I set the HD to 160vht as it allowed that without changing the channel (IE channel 48)

The SHD would have had to switch to fully DFS channels as it's currently set to channel 149.

So when I looked at the app both looked like 80vht even though I have teh HD set to 160vht.

Re: [FIRMWARE] 4.0.15.9872 for UAP/USW has been released | Stable Candidate

This fw is looking even better than 4.0.14 on the AP AC Pros re:bw drops. Not just a bit better... a hell of a lot better.

BW appears to stay on 866-780 Mbps for much longer periods of time with only very small and short periods of drops. Only had this installed for a few hours... but it is looking as a really good fw build for our APs.

No WLAN disconnects at all observed so far... and we are monitoring this very closely.

CPU on all APs 5-13%
AP Memory: 50-63%

Note: After a fw update, we always reboot the APs and after coming back up, we wait ~5 min and then do a pwr cycle reboot. This method has prevented (so far) the APs from wierd over-utilized cpu or mem issues. Also on each WLAN client, we turn Wifi off (wait 10 secs) and turn back on after any fw update. Seems to make a bw stability improvement on the clients as well.

It's too early to tell if this one is a winner yet, but it's looking really good so far. After ~3 day settle-in period we'll see if it remains the performer that it looks to be.

Well, after about 6 hrs after the upgrade, the disconnects and heavy bw drops have started again on v4.0.15.

Rolled back to v4.0.14

5.9.29-11384-1

From 4.0.14

pre 4.0.15.PNGto 4.0.15post 4.0.15.PNG

all looks good

Let's see if the flood of false DFS will disappear

radar.PNG

and if these two devices set as "Outdoor Mode" will stop violating REGULATORY RULES using internal frequencies after "DFS" events

If your phone does not support VHT160, it will not be able to show correctly the beacons.

Check the WIFI card in the datasheet.

I checked the one of my SAMSUNG S9+ and its card supports up to 80MHz.

The same for my Lenovo X1 Yoga 3rd gen.

I've seen mentions of fixing "IE corruption" in this build and 4.0.14. What is IE corruption? I've never seen it described in any previous builds.

I wondered this too.. but I believe it to be Information Elements which are part of the 802.11 beacons (think of them as WiFi announcements). IE corruption could be why roaming was a bit broken in earlier builds.

Re: [FIRMWARE] 4.0.15.9872 for UAP/USW has been released | Stable Candidate

Upgrading my 2 AC-AP-PRO's to this version from 4.0.14.9736.
When running the upgrade script (/sbin/syswrapper.sh upgrade2 &) I get an "-ash: /sbin/syswrapper.sh: not found" message... and sure enough it ain't there.
My 2 USW (80w) are on same firmware release version and those both have the /sbin/syswrapper.sh !
Thoughts?

@flamber  - that's the point.. it's NOT there in the dir on the AP to be able to run it..

I copied it over from my switch USW-8P-60 and ran it Man Happy

upgrade was successful
