Failed upgrade from 3.9.42.9152 to 3.9.54.9373

In an attempt to upgrade to 3.9.54 I get the following message:

upgrade failed: download failed (error: curl:7, http:000)

The management network does not have access to the internet. I am with the understanding that the controller can provide the firmware image. I have the new versions cached on the controller.

The ports listed in this article are open to the controller:

Hello @jsnaza,

Do you have a local FTP server?

You could put the firmware on the local FTP server and custom upgrade from the firmware of the local FTP server.

I do not. But I could start one up if I need to. But, I am interested in why the built in function for the controller is not working.

Hello @jsnaza,

Maybe the cached firmware got corrupted.

Re: Failed upgrade from 3.9.42.9152 to 3.9.54.9373

I have deleted and re-downloaded the firmware without any luck. Is there any place in the logs to see where or what URL it is using to download the firmware? I might be able to understand the issue better if I can see how the devices are pulling the firmware.

Hello @jsnaza,

SSH into the UAP and run this command, after that start the custom upgrade

tail -f /var/log/messages

Re: Failed upgrade from 3.9.42.9152 to 3.9.54.9373

Also kept running in to upgrade failed of my 3 AP-AC-LR's.

In the Controller's Settings > Maintenance > Firmware the new fw was downloaded.

After changing the downloaded fw to "cached" the upgrade succeeded.
