While I appreciate your kind words @UBNT-schmid, I'd like to add that if Ubiquiti actually embodied the things you said just now (that this situation is not acceptable), they would have halted sales of the effected models until the problem was 100% resolved. That the company did not do so means they value short term profit over long term customer success, which means that, as a company, Ubiquiti is diametrically opposed to all of their customers, including me.

@UBNT-DavidS Okay, I just got my second RMA (third unit) and once again, the test date says 10/10/17. I'm in disbelief. Is there any reason for me to even go through the hassle of hooking this up or is it guaranteed to be the AT version? Do I need to submit a *third* RMA?

I have one of the affected units and got an RMA confirmation but no shipping label. Will that be sent seperately?

has anyone from the UK got there replacemnt ?, just UPS are wanting to charge me £84 for import duties, this can't be right?, i have already paid for the product, now i have to pay again to get the faulty unit replaced?

just been told that it is against UK/EU Law to charge for a warenty claim. so @UBNT-DavidS can you look into this for me else i will be refusing deleivery of the replacment, and then doing a charge back on my creadit card for the original unit, as it is unfit for purpose, of which i don't think the original unit supplier will be happy with.

Same for me in belgium. just called with ups and they said it was not marked as a warranty exchange.
It is arround €80 to release this switch.

I can't praise the products enough but the warranty process is juist bad.

i'm going to refuse it, not paying for import. they need to sort it out. @florisvdk did you pay duty ?

@andyblac In belgium you have to pay the fee via a website, you have 10 days to pay.

The issue didn't affect me, but just want to give praise to Ubiquiti for the courtesy. Other companies might not even care to alert people, let alone paying for duties and things that shouldn't be getting passed on to consumers for an RMA.

I have just received the 2nd RMA as well, this time the production date is 08/10/17 instead of 10/10/17 as the original and the 1st RMA were.

This switch is correct, and I have verified that the 24V Passive POE is working. Also, I have upgraded it to the latest firmware and still good.

 

The process has been a bit time consuming and clumsy, but thanks for getting it sorted out @UBNT-DavidS.

I appreciate ya!
