Depending on the age of your electrical wiring, you may want to look at the powerline injectors. I have two Ubiquiti access points that are uplinked using the TP-Link AV2000 powerline injector in my house. There is one powerline injector that's accessible to my switch on the first floor then two more powerline injectors in two different parts of my second story home. I use the Ubiquiti PoE injector to power the APs.
This has been a great solution for me short of running Ethernet outside in a conduit, etc. Be aware that not all people can use powerline injectors. In particular if you're wiring doesn't have a ground wire it won't work. Check the return policy if you go this route in the event it doesn't work.
