No longer reach my controller via https://unifi.ubnt.com/

Hi,

Has anything changed recently? I can no longer reach my remote unifi Cloud key Controller via https://unifi.ubnt.com/

I just get a white screen.

I can still reach the remote Ccontroller directly by openning port 8443 on the router, but the unifi.ubnt.com way has worked previously and outgt to be usable as far as I know.

There have been some updates recently to the Controller software and Cloud key software - I don't know whether there is any connnection with that.

Re: No longer reach my controller via https://unifi.ubnt.com/

No Script-blocker in chrome ?
If you connect locally, 'Settings', 'Cloud Access', what tells ?
Anyway, while connected locally, you may try by restarting the UC-CK, 'Settings', 'Maintenance', 'Restart Cloud Key' (at the bottom), and see if helps ...
Cheers,
jonatha

Re: No longer reach my controller via https://unifi.ubnt.com/

In my case, on my PC, going to https://unifi.ubnt.com....

Chrome: after login I get completely empty, white browser window.

MS Explorer: Shows the Borders and sites (greyed out) but hangs there with rotating "busy" shape

MS Edge: Shows the site overview ok, but options on right for how to connect include only "Sitename" and "IP address" (which won't work remotely) but doesn't show the "Cloud access" option. (Text says it's only available in Chrome and Firefox)

Firefox: Works!

Note: On another PC Chrome works fine.

Guys,

Have you tried on the affected browsers to clean all temporary data and cookies, close browser and start again? Maybe it helps.

Re: No longer reach my controller via https://unifi.ubnt.com/

I uninstalled Chrome and re-installed it.But Google remembers so much it's hard to know if anything was actually "cleared". I used the "clear cache" option as well in case - but no change.

It seems to me ther has been a change on the unifi.ubnt.com site overview page. Previously when I clicked "Launch", it would choose automatically whether to use "Cloud connect" or local IP address (if it figured out I was local to the Controlloer). I think there was also an option to force RTC.

But now on the right there is a new drop down list where you have to choose manually between Cloud access, Site name, and IP address as ways of accessing the Controller.

So I'm pretty sure the interface has been updated recently.

Re: No longer reach my controller via https://unifi.ubnt.com/

Hi,

I don't think it is a cache or cookie problem. I clear cache and cookies, used another user and even tried
to access unifi.ubnt.com with a VM. I always get the same results:

firefox 50.1 or 48.x just white screen

chrome working

edge working (no access to controller possible for this brower)

With the firefox inspector I see the follow error message, I don't know if this is relevant:

Error: Plural Function not found for locale: de_DE vendor.js:27:13

I remember seeing that same error message "Plural Function not found...." in Chrome when I open "developers tools"

Re: No longer reach my controller via https://unifi.ubnt.com/

Hi,

I did one more test:

Installed an english version of firefox instead of my german version and now the website https://unifi.ubnt.com works again with firefox.

So currently there is a problem with the website at least for german users using a german version of firefox.

I just checked with Chrome on another PC (where unifi.ubnt.com works) and there is no such error message.

So it seems relevant...

I'm in Sweden, so maybe it doesn't like Swedish Chrome either.

Re: No longer reach my controller via https://unifi.ubnt.com/

Hi,

so it seams to me there is a problem with some non-english versions of firefox and chrome.

@UBNT-MikeDcan you please forward this problem to your website guys:

Since yesterday morning when I access https://unifi.ubnt.com with a germany firefox version (tested 50.1.0 and 48.0), I can login but afterwards only see a completly white page. If I use an english version everything works.

With the inspector function I get following error message:

Error: Plural Function not found for locale: de_DE vendor.js:27:13

Re: No longer reach my controller via https://unifi.ubnt.com/

In Sweden with Chrome I'm getting....

"Error: Plural Function not found for locale: sv"

I'm not aware of any different variants of Chrome for differen countries -just that you an set the language it presents itself in. Mine is set to English at the moment, but clearly it knows I'm in Sweden (sv = Sverige = Sweden)

I tried changing the presentation language to Swedish but there was no difference. Back to English and still no change.

So it doesn't like my "locale"....

Re: No longer reach my controller via https://unifi.ubnt.com/

Chrome is working for me again today - I haven't changed anything but now there are no console error messages and the Site overview loads ok.

Firefox still works as well.

MS Explorer still hangs loading the overview

Re: No longer reach my controller via https://unifi.ubnt.com/

I had the same issue after a recent update, I fixed it my logging into my cloudkey using putty and changing the time/date. For some reason my cloudkey thought it was April 2014?

The syntax is

date -s "5 AUG 2017 20:09:10"

Logged into the cloudkey using a browser and switched the cloud access off then on again. Waited a few minutes and it came back up again.

Does the cloudkey have have a real time clock? Hardware clock? Or does it use ntp to update its internal time/date?

If it's the latter, do I need to open port 123 outbound to allow the cloudkey to update its time/date? Any information appreciated.

Re: No longer reach my controller via https://unifi.ubnt.com/

Without accurate time you can't establish https sessions. You really want ntp.

I have ntpd running on my router internally, and allocating the Time Server via DHCP, will the cloudkey pick that up?

Or, do I need to open port 123 outbound, for the cloudkey to get the correct time from an external ntp server?

Any information appreciated.
