PoE Injectors

Hello folks

Recently an older UAP died, well got stuck in TFTP mode and we could not reset. I've ordered a replacement which has come in the form of a AP-AC-Pro.

The engineer has brought back the PoE injector as they were going to be using the existing one, but when he's brought it back I can see it's different to the older ones. Checked the output rating and the injector with the AC Pro is 48v, but the older model is 24v.

Will the newer model work with the old PoE injector or do I need to send this to site too?

Re: PoE Injectors

Hello @Techmonkeys,

The UAP AC PRO requires Passive Power over Ethernet (48V), 802.3af/802.3a, so a 24v PoE Injector won't work for the UAP AC PRO.

Re: PoE Injectors

The UAP-AC-Pro will need the 48V adapter, or a switch that does 802.3af POE. The 24V POE adapter will not power the UAP-AC-Pro.
I did it my way .... Man Happy

Re: PoE Injectors

I thought that would be the case. Thanks for the clarification.
