Hello @winkler69,

SFTP into the controller device and copy the logs from.

/var/log/unifi/

I can also take a look via TeamViewer if you want. ( PM me the details )

Hello @winkler69,

Thanks for letting me remote in!

Your controller was already running, you forgot to use HTTPS and port 8443 when reaching out to the controller.

Re: Raspberry Unify Update to 5.10.12-11629-1 not posssible ??

I'm struggling with the 5.10.12 update on my pi also - everything was fine on 5.9.29... Below are the results from: $ sudo service unifi status  --- I attempted to update Java based on various instructions online thinking this might solve things, but I still can't get it up and running.  NOTE - my Linux skills are relatively weak.

Re: Raspberry Unify Update to 5.10.12-11629-1 not posssible ??

So, not sure why, but even with all of those errors in status, it appears that the Java update worked --- I can hit the controller through a URL and everything seems to be working fine. Still don't understand the errors I'm getting, but as long as I can access the controller, I assume I don't need any additional help. Thanks for all the prior help posted to this board as it seems to have resolved my issue.

Hello @jhaverson,

Run the following commands.

su
service unifi stop
apt purge oracle-java8-jdk -y
sed -i 's/^JAVA_HOME/#JAVA_HOME/' /etc/default/unifi
echo "JAVA_HOME="$( readlink -f "$( which java )" | sed "s:bin/.*$::" )"" >> /etc/default/unifi
service unifi start

Re: Raspberry Unify Update to 5.10.12-11629-1 not posssible ??

Thanks for your help, Glenn. I've read previously that su is disabled on the PI and to use 'sudo' anytime you'd want to run a command as root --- when I type su it prompts for a password, but I am unsure what it would be (I've google searched a bunch, but almost every result indicates that it is diabled and to use sudo).

In any case, I was able to run the first 2 commands with sudo successfully... however, for the 3rd command, here is my result:

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo sed -i 's/^JAVA_HOME/#JAVA_HOME/' /etc/default/unifi
sed: can't read /etc/default/unifi: No such file or directory

thoughts?

Re: Raspberry Unify Update to 5.10.12-11629-1 not posssible ??

Under the assumption that my unifi directory is located in a different spot than expected, I ran the following command with the following results --- is this helpful?

var/lib/unifi:
