Starting UniFi controller

Hi all,

I have connected 2 UniFi's and installed the software on my Mac

The uniFI controller software starts up and the displays
Starting UniFi Controller ....

It stays this way for about 15minutes. And then displays an error that it takes to long to start.

What is going wrong?
Do I need to reset something?

The 2 "discs" are solid amber.

Re: Starting UniFi controller

Is something else on your Mac running on port 8080?

Oops. What a helpful warning message that is?!
Will see why we didn't provide a suggestion of action after showing this message.
My guess is you have something running on port 8080, 8443, 9080, 9443. If so, take a look at
/Applications/UniFi.app/Contents/Resources/data/system.properties

Re: Starting UniFi controller

Hey, Dave -

Can you run both AirControl and the UniFi controller sw on the same machine?

Ward, I can't answer your question
because I haven't tried it. I see no
reason why not, but ask Ubiquiti. Dave

Re: Starting UniFi controller

You can but you will need to change port 9080 on Aircontrol to do that as they conflict... Unless you can change that in the Unify controller

That likely means you will have to disconnect/reconnect all the stations.....

Just to clarify - you will not disconnect all the associated stations by starting/stopping UniFi controllers.

Re: Starting UniFi controller

Sorry for the confusion.... I was referring to the Stations under AirControl management...
