UAP-AC-LITE PoE with D-Link DGS-1100-08P

I am considering purchasing the UAP-AC-LITE. Just wanted to make sure if it will work with that D-Link switch. I am unsure how the voltage is negotiated / adjusted and if the AP can be damaged in case the switch is incompatible.

D-Link DGS-1100-08P has 802.3af/at PoE.

Thank you

As long as the switch supports Alternative/Mode A it will work fine. I think most switches are Mode A but there are some that aren't.

Also you should make sure your AP is newer, but if you bought it recently it should be. THe date code should be at least late 2017 .

Re: UAP-AC-LITE PoE with D-Link DGS-1100-08P

Hi @dezzamet ,

If your UAP-AC-Lite have a date code of 1638 or greater, it will work with any 802.3af switch.

I have some on Cisco POE switch and a old POE Luxul switch without problem (all 802.3af). So with the D-Link, it will ok.

Re: UAP-AC-LITE PoE with D-Link DGS-1100-08P

Couldn't find anything on the D-Link specs referring to Mode A/B. They say it is 802.3af/at. My previous Meraki and Aruba APs worked well with the switch. Hope it is Mode A Man Happy Thank you.
