nevermind ubnt and ubnt, duh, sorry newbie here...
How do I change the login of each ap via ssh?
Is there a list of commands anywhere I can look up?
You don't manage these with ssh, use the controller.

Hm... I just TFTPed a new 3.1.6 firmware onto a UAP using a USB TTL cable and the urescue command. It now boots up fine and gets a DHCP-assigned IP address, something that it didn't do anymore with fw 2.3.5, also not after re-writing that firmware through TFTP. Previously the UAP was in an endless boot cycle, not matter what I did with and to the reset button.
In order to verify the success of this action I now would like to SSH into the AP, yet I cannot find the default device password for an AP that has never been in contact with a controller before. The username appears to be "admin", but neither "ubnt" nor "admin" work as password. :-(

Just upgraded some unifi/pico's and I can't ssh to them with my controller user/pass, or ubnt/ubnt ... They're also no longer showing in the controller. They are at a remote site, and I won't be able to physically access them to reset for a week or so.

The same issue here. Can not access the picostation 2MHP with unifi firmware 3.1.10.
I used controller psw and ubnt/ubnt
What to do ?

well, earlier in the thread he said the version 3 the devices get a hashed password, so if you've lost connection with it already, there seems to be no way of SSH into that device...
has to be reset... from there you can use ubnt/ubnt...
i'm dealing with the same thing right now... i guess i'll have to go to the site and find a ladder
EDIT: oh.. .nevermind... if you go under settings->site and click inside the device password box it gives it to you... try that...

What is the cipher that is used for the controller to authenticated in UAP?, i have a similar case, only that i can't restore either backup and i dont want to make physical reset in 30 UAPs, i remember the old password, but, some models dont let me connect with this password, i suspect that the passwords is in hash format, however, i don know what is the cipher.
I wait for you response.
