If you have an Alexa device try resetting it. I had this problem in the past and reset my Echo Dot fixed it.

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.12.0 has been released

Just add a new controller on your cloud access page. you will see it. You can then  forget the old controller

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.12.0 has been released

Had a strange thing happen this week.

After I upgraded my two sites last Friday (home and weekend place) the two AP-AC_Lite (they are using 3.9.54.9373 firmware) at the home site disconnected and wouldn't reconnect even after cycling the power.  I could SSH into them so the only way to get them back was to do a factory reset on them and then re-adopt them which worked and so far they are fine.

Then yesterday on the USG-3P I turned on "Use dnsmasq as DHCP server" and three hours later it disconnected and if I tried to go anywhere on the internet I would get a DNS error (can't remember the exact DNS error message) and couldn't get to anything on the internet.  I power cycled it and it came back only to disconnect again about 3 hours later.

I turned "Use dnsmasq as DHCP server" off and the issue seems to have gone away for now.

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.12.0 has been released

Good Morning.
I had no problem to upgrade my UC-CK to the latest firmware / controller version.
BUT...
After the update, I am noticing that in my router mikrotik there are 2 constant connections to these ip's: 172.217.30.227:80 and 13.33.130.146:443.
I do not understand why he does this if before in the previous version never happened ...
I understand that one of the ips is from Amazon where the updates of the UBNT products are downloaded (13.33.130.146), but the other ip belongs to Google GSTATIC (172.217.30.227) which I do not understand because this connection exists ...

Any data about it ???

I found several people in the forum commenting on the same behavior ...

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.12.0 has been released

I also have a USG that is "disconnected" after the upgrade.  Everything works as usual otherwise - what to do?

Well, that didn't last long.

My USG-3P at my home home site went down again, a power cycle returned it to working order.

The DNS error I'm getting in Chrome when it goes down is "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG"  THe blue light is on but I can't get to it until I do a power cycle.

My other site so far hasn't had this issue so I'm not sure what's going on (both are configured pretty much the same) and if it keeps disconnecting I'm going to have to revert to the previous version.

I ssh'd in and issued the `reboot` command and it was picked up.  Idea

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.12.0 has been released

After my update, the Cloud Access option was I disabled on my Cloud Key.  Once I re-enabled Cloud Access, the http://UniFi.ubnt.com connection updated.

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.12.0 has been released

Upgraded from 0.11.12.

Cloud connection looks a bit buggy, sometimes it works, sometimes i receive an : "response status code was unacceptable: 401" when connecting with the app..

Connecting via unifi.ubnt.com goes fine.

I'm also unable to retreive events. The web version keeps loading, app ends up with ""response status code was unacceptable: 401"

(Regarding the app bugs: They can also be caused because i'm running the testflight version from the app. 40206)

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.12.0 has been released

Updated our CK to v.12 two days ago. Blue light was on and our customers could connect to the wifi. The problem was our cloudkey was offline and when you went to the IP address, it said "Unifi service is starting please wait." After loggining via SSH, I did the commands here and it worked like a charm.  No restore backup needed. Thanks so much for this quick fix.

[ Edited ]

Spoke too quickly.  The CK works when I'm on the same wifi network.  Doesn't work when on LTE.  Also appears offline on unifi.ubnt.com.  I am able to access directly via ip address when on same network.  In the "Cloud Access" page, "Cloud Access Status" is listed as "CONNECTING".

Ideas?

UPDATE:  Just rebooted the CK via the IP address access and it's now listed as CONNECTED.  ios app works as well on LTE.

Hope this helps others.

I don't have any Amazon devices and I don't use their services. It hasn't happened before, it is this BUG after this upgrade.

Restarting has no effect on us. The status remains with Connecting.

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.12.0 has been released

Just upgraded 5 CloudKeys from Firmware 0.11.12 with controller 5.9.26 to Firmware 0.12.0 and had the same problem as OP noted in post below on two of them. Had to reset2defaults and then restore from a backup. Afterwards all is working fine.

Failed to start here as well. It tries to create a new index for site_id field in the mongodb ace.event collection, but runs out of memory and the mongodb crashes.

Stopping unifi, starting mongod manually and then creating the index manually did the trick. Also had to run mongod once with --repair, it gets corrupted all the time.

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.12.0 has been released

Also worth noting that the upgrade or possibly setting the provider capabilities info caused all APs to suddenly boot once ~at the same time.

Had the same issue and this worked for me.

@WilliamTM before you do a full restaore try a mongodb repair:

service unifi stop
mongod --repair --dbpath /srv/unifi/data/db
service unifi start

and report back if that helped

@tsilen not on my controller. Here i can change the provider capabilities as often as i like without any AP rebooting.
