Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 1.0.3 has been released (All Models) | Stable

Hello everybody,
just updated to Cloud Key firmware 1.0.3 my Cloud Key 1st Gen.

All seems to work well but after this firmware updating:
- the Cloud Key Controller doesn't report the right software version 5.10.24 as before the update but "unknown version" (1st image)
- I can't log into my Cloud Key account anymore because always get the message "invalid username and/or password" (2nd image)

All Unifi items are updated to last version available (4.0.42 and 4.4.51)

5x AP-HD

3x SW-8

1x SW-24

1x USG-3P

1x CloudKey Gen1

Another high quality stable release from UBNT...

Try via SSH:

cd /var/tmp
wget https://dl.ui.com/unifi/5.10.24/unifi_sysvinit_all.deb
dpkg -i unifi_sysvinit_all.deb

@littlewolf

This worked. Thank you. I know enough to be dangerous in Linux, but have never run into the unmask command. Glad it was something simple. I really appreciate the help.

@gordopa1

Interesting, nothing in the upgrade path should mask unifi. Can you run `journalctl > /tmp/journal.log` and DM me the resulting /tmp/journal.log file?

@RobbiOne

For 1) Can you DM me you unifi controller logs? And 2) are you able to ssh into the unit? Did you enable SSO local login at all?

@zpjet

Can you also DM me your unifi server.log?

@UBNT-pain

AFAICT this is the same bug that's marked as "fixed" in the release notes...

  • Fix package restore after upgrade causing services to disappear.

You might want to revisit the "fix". Kindly note that systemd considers a unit to be masked when the file size is 0.

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 1.0.3 has been released (All Models) | Stable

Ever since doing the Cloud Key firmware 1.0.3 update on my Cloud Key G2+, I am no longer able to log onto my VPN (Radius Server) and unable to log onto the UniFi Protect iPhone app.  Any help would be much appreciated!IMG_1949.jpgScreen Shot 2019-05-31 at 3.02.57 PM.png

tnx for your quickly support, here you are the info requested.

After the Cloud Key update to 1.0.3 Unifi Controller Manager continues to work fine for both local and remote access using the browser (Safari) or the Unifi Network iOS app.

Answers:
1) yep ... file is attached
2) yep ... I am able to SSH into the Cloud Key
3) until the 1.0.3 update the Cloud Key configuration login works fine, not after the update even if the userid & psw wasn't changed at all. Sorry, I don't know where SSO local login may be enabled. In controller page SETTINGS-->Cloud Access I just don't enable the "Local Login with UBNT Account" (see image).

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 1.0.3 has been released (All Models) | Stable Candidate

I often cannot connect to the controller through cloud access after upgrading devices, controller or cloud key.

I have cloud key Gen2 plus and controller installed on local computer at different locations.

I have trouble with both of these.

I always keep access to a local computer at each site so I can connect to the controller through said local computer.

I mostly use Google remote desktop which works similar to Unifi cloud access, works well and is free but any remote connection will work.

I reboot all local devices and cloud key or controller installed on local computer.

So far this has always restored cloud access to the controller if cloud access was granted to new version by Ubiquiti.

Since this always works I have not investigated the root cause.

Hope this helps.

This worked for me thanks.

What the heck are they doing these days. Every time I upgrade something it seems to be broken.

Glad I could help.

Software developement is hard - I have done it in a past part of my life.

I can only imagine system level firmware developement is very much harder - so many interactions.

We are here in beta test living on the ragged edge.

At least we are not in alpha test on the bleeding edge. Smile

Sorry - I forgot this was not in beta but stable release candidate!

Migrated from UCKG1 to a new G2 and installed 1.0.3 and beta controller 5.11.26. All running as expected.

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 1.0.3 has been released (All Models) | Stable

Hey, that worked for me ....

solved two problems happened just after update to CK FW 1.0.3:

1) via SSH downgraded to previous CK FW 0.13.10 ...

      in that condition gained CK web access again but I can not manage the network anymore

2) via CK web access updated again to 1.0.3

     now both problems disappear:  CK web access works fine and the right firmware version is reported in network management web page

All seem work fine now.

Thank again to Austin for his support.

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 1.0.3 has been released (All Models) | Stable

What happened to the bandwih display screen on the V2 Pro?  I loved the fact that I could see the status, but it disappeared.  Not sure if it was the update, or that I am now also using the Protect features.
