Re: UniFi Network Controller 5.10.12 Stable has been released

@AmazedMender16yea I kinda figured it might be this as I noticed first up it was acting a little weird the back end but it settled down and all is working as per usual.

Hopefully nothing else happens lol the joys of running a controller i guess

Re: UniFi Network Controller 5.10.12 Stable has been released

After upgrading Unifi controller from version 4.9.12 to .5.10.12 I get the following connection request error messages when the unifi service is started.  It seems to be working allright though.   My system is Ubuntu 16.04 and all units are at latest stabel firmware level.

Do I need to worry ?

Hello @janth,

Thats an cosmetic issue and doesn't have an impact on the controller startup.

Ubiquiti is already working on a fix.

Nothing to worry about Man Happy

I did the upgrade today and on startup this error is showing however everything seems to be ok not sure if anyone else is getting this error.

I get the same error message and it also seems to work.  Could be some kind of race condition which clears up by itself due to the retry mechanism ?  WOuld be nice if someone from Ubiquiti could respond.

Re: UniFi Network Controller 5.10.12 Stable has been released

I wonder, why I can now switch the landing page of the controller to dark or white mode but that does not have any effect on the controllers setup itself.  It keeps showing up in dark...

Lato font files is missing? I'am attached a screenshot with HTML source for 5.9.29.0 and for 5.10.12.0 versions. For a 5.9.29.0 version font files loaded fine, for 5.10.12.0 not found.

Re: UniFi Network Controller 5.10.12 Stable has been released

@AmazedMender16

I remember looking up what was supported in the paper literature that shipped with my WAP. Seemed like it was supported, there were no caveats. Perhaps a little more honestly in the literature? Obiously, not a knock against you.

I'm getting a new error:

We do not support upgrading from 5.9.29.

Hello @bsampsel,

What controller version did you install?

What is the output of the following command?

dpkg -l | grep unifi

Re: UniFi Network Controller 5.10.12 Stable has been released

@AmazedMender16

Son of a gun...I ran the instructions provided by https://community.ubnt.com/t5/UniFi-Routing-Switching/Step-By-Step-Tutorial-Guide-Raspberry-Pi-with-... as a last ditch effort...

and it appears to have downgraded me to

ii unifi 5.6.30-10266 all Ubiquiti UniFi server

Now, I'm not sure how to get back to the 5.9.x I was at before the upgrade, let alone upgrade to the new upgrade. No wonder the DB isn't working right.

It must be Monday.

Re: UniFi Network Controller 5.10.12 Stable has been released

Hello @bsampsel,

Let's get this running for you Man Happy

Run the following commands.

rm unifi_sysvinit_all.deb
wget https://dl.ubnt.com/unifi/5.9.29/unifi_sysvinit_all.deb
dpkg -i unifi_sysvinit_all.deb
rm unifi_sysvinit_all.deb

Once you're running on 5.9.29 you can upgrade to 5.10.12 manually or using my Easy Update Script Man Happy

Greetings @AmazedMender16

Thanks! I've got my 5.9 back and running. Logged in and checked things out.

I'll take the time later to give your upgrade script a shot, but I've got work to do for now.

Re: UniFi Network Controller 5.10.12 Stable has been released

I noticed a peculiar marked decrease in the memory consumption of my USG-3P after the upgrade from controller 4.9.x to 5.10.x.   I have attached a screenshot.   I did not change firmware after the upgrade by I did a restart of all my units after upgrading the controller software.

In the release notes I saw a comment about some of the statistics stuff was work in progress, and they would like some feedback. So her e it is.  Maybe thre has been a change in the way the memory consumption is calculated which may be in error.  Dont get me wrong, I am NOT unhappy about a decrease in memory consumption but I am somewhat puzzled how that would happen, and it seems to me it is likely an artifact . My switch and access point show no signs of reduced memory consumption after the upgrade.
