Re: UniFi Network Controller 5.10.23 Stable has been released

4.0.30 is not stable right? Plus massive feedback on the "candidate" thread about problems with 4.0.30 but not much from Ubiquiti about fixes. It's been 5 weeks since candidate unlike the typical 1 week right?

Re: UniFi Network Controller 5.10.23 Stable has been released

Upgraded my UCK G2 from 5.10.21 to 5.10.23 this morning. Since then email notificactions fail. No change to SMTP settings and have confirmed SMTP server is working from other devices. Had chat session with UBNT who have escalated to L2.

Hello @black6spdz,

Thanks for the screenshots, you need to increase the Time Series with 5 Minutes Granularity to something higher than 2 hours if you want to see more data.

@Essex Email notifications using GMail as SMTP server is working fine for me on 5.10.23. Just tested by rebooting the USG and I received an email notification.

Re: UniFi Network Controller 5.10.23 Stable has been released

Since 5.10.23 :
"There was an error sending the test email to (email address). Failed to send email to SMTP server. Please check your settings and try again."

I disabled SSL on my SMTP setting, and working again. Looks like a problem with SSL handshaking.

Re: UniFi Network Controller 5.10.23 Stable has been released

I have now changed my email notifications from port 587 to 465 and left SSL ticked, which has fixed the problem.

Re: UniFi Network Controller 5.10.23 Stable has been released

I'm encountering problems after updating to this version.

New APs (nanoHD) cannot be adopted (as easy as they used to), because I have to upgrade them first via ssh...

Looking for a reason I found out, that the controller seemingly doesn't know any HD APs (see screenshot of Settings/Maintenance/Firmware)Bildschirmfoto vom 2019-05-13 16-02-20.png

Is this a bug or do I miss something? I already tried "check firmware update" several times.

Re: UniFi Network Controller 5.10.23 Stable has been released

After upgrading serveral sites to 5.10.23, the Speed Test is out of order. Only showing 0.0 and 0.0. Manual initiated Speed Test also shows no results.

Re: UniFi Network Controller 5.10.23 Stable has been released

Hello,

After upgrading to 5.10.23, I have the message "Release notes unavailable" when I click on the icon "release notes" on my Raspberry's controller.

Everything was fine with 5.10.21.

It's the same issue with the macos app.Ok when I come back to 5.10.21

I have never seen differently.  Apparently this function is quite fragile.

(no idea under what conditions it works ok)

I've seen the exact same behaviour as well.

Re: UniFi Network Controller 5.10.23 Stable has been released

Upgraded my controller to 5.10.23 (as part of my Cloudkey G2+ upgrade)

I noticed the following bugs:

  • No release notes.
  • Speedtest doesn't work anymore.

Yes, 5.6 is a release branch for EOL hardware (UAP-AC, UAP-ACv2 and UAP-AC-Outdoor). We wanted to get an updated release out which included some important security changes. The 5.10 release branch doesn't support those models.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Could I check if v5.10.23 supports the UAP and UAPv2 models please?

Thanks & Kind Regards

Yes speed test does not seem to be working. However I don't use it so doesn't bother me.

Read the release notes and perhaps this article here will help you understand which generation UAP you have.

Thanks, however I have no doubt about the model I have, as per my post we have (hundreds) of UAP and UAPv2's deployed and we have a large quantity of UAPv2's still in stock. As we use 5Ghz for delivery to subs we prefer the 2.5Ghz UAP.

The reason I asked for clarification is that logically speaking there appears to be contradicting information. My understanding is that the UAP and UAPv2 came before the UAP-AC and UAP-ACv2, yet the older models would appear to be still supported?

See a screen grab from the download site for v5.10.23, clearly the UAP is listed:

Also see below, this is one site from one of our controllers, as you can see this is v5.10.17 (well past v5.6) and the UAPv2 is clearly supported:
