Re: UniFi SDN Controller 5.9.29 Stable has been released

Since the last update to version 5.9.29.0, I have the problem that the clients show the same IP address on the controller.

@UBNT-MikeD : Should it be possible to add a WLAN with a blank SSID? I just did that by misstake and noticed it.

Re: UniFi SDN Controller 5.9.29 Stable has been released

If anyone is still running Windows Server 2003 they're just looking for trouble. Microsoft ended support on 7/14/2015. That means no more security patches, etc which will leave the server wide open for attack. Before worrying about mongod incompatibility the server should be upgraded.

Re: UniFi SDN Controller 5.9.29 Stable has been released

Unrelated to your issue...... I'm interested to know how tough it was to set it up in docker (along with the related networking of getting the controller access to the network).  I may end up doing the same thing or using a vull on VM with docker running.

Re: UniFi SDN Controller 5.9.29 Stable has been released

it seems that the automatic firmware upgrade is broken. Firmware was still stuck in 3.9.42. Even a look for nwe firmware manually didn´t help. Need toupgrade manually.

Hello @ckunifi,

Check the logs if you see any errors on the automatic upgrade time.

Re: UniFi SDN Controller 5.9.29 Stable has been released

[ Edited ]

This probably sounds silly/stupid, but wen I install the UniFi.pkg on macOS it tells me that I should make a backup of the configuration. Which is good advice, but how do I do that? It's not as easy to find as the backup of a configuration in the EdgeMax GUI. There is n o "Download configuration" or "Backup Configuration" in conroller 5.6.37 which I am still running.

Note: My role is "Super Administrator"

Note: I notice "Backup" and "Restore"  but it says "Backup Data Retention" in the popup and it wasn't immediately clear to me that that Backup was for the UniFi settings. Though when the popup says "Settings only" I guessed that this was the settings backup and not some other backup. If the header had been "Controller and Sites Settings Backup" it would have been immediately clear to me that the backup was about the settings. I'm still in doubt, but going ahead anyway.

@gctwnl

Settings only is enough for restoring the Configuration of your controller.

Cheers,

Mike

It does not work with UniFi UAP-AC-Lite on UBNT-BZ.v3.9.27, inform HTTP Post gets a HTTP 400 response and controller can't detect the AP

Re: UniFi SDN Controller 5.9.29 Stable has been released

Ho.

I just upgraded the controller from 4.8.15 to 5.9.29 and after it migrated the DB I was not able to login with "admin" anymore.

What's the problem and how can it be solved?

Thanks,

Flavio

Re: UniFi SDN Controller 5.9.29 Stable has been released

Here's a minor bug in 5.9.29...Under Settings/autobackup I have a maximum of 13 settings only backups (performed weekly) on the G2 cloud key plus. On Sunday, it made it's 14th backup...

I have nightly auto-backup enabled and this worked in the past. However, for the last three days - of course, without any change to the Unifi ecosystem - I get the following in the Unifi Controller's server.log:

[2019-01-09 01:00:05,203] <schedule-backup> ERROR system - Fail to create a backup for version '5.9.29'

The Unifi Controller is on a Cloud Key (gen1) with 10 GB internal space where 89 % are available and 8 GB SD card where 98 % are available.

Any ideas?

Re: UniFi SDN Controller 5.9.29 Stable has been released

IPv6 prefix delegation in my internal VLAN tagged network stopped working:

pppoe2 gets a /56 prefix, also configured for this interface (->WAN1), not sure why it is listed here as /64

eth0.40 is configured as prefix delegated, should get a /64, but not listed here, why?

Worked before the update, was on latest stable controller shipped with cloud key 0.12
