I just changed to 5.9.29. It seems all is working, but at the map the AP now shows a greater 5G as 2G Coverage. I think the Coverage information is not very important, but it should at least provide a realistic fake.

What is your receiver sensitivty set to? Mine had -75dBm for 2G and -90dBm for 5G after upgrade (which would make them close to the same coverage). I reset them both to -65dBm and the heat maps are a much better representation now.

Dose anyone know what the Internet capacity means on the dashboard? Ours is red and say 100%

Hello @Mike-MINetworks,

It indicates your WAN bandwidth.

Change your WAN bandwidth, by default its 10mbps.

@tympom

The java -jar lib/ace.jar import_cert method seems not to work for 5.9.xx you have to use keytool instead.

Have a look in my post and script: https://community.ubnt.com/t5/UniFi-Wireless/Lets-Encrypt-on-Hosted-Controller/m-p/2463220/highlight...

Re: UniFi SDN Controller 5.9.29 Stable has been released

I know this pales (pun intended!) in comparison to some of the more serious issues others are having after the upgrade; but seriously- this colour shceme is the absolute worst I have ever seen. Light grey icons and text on white and light grey background?  What are you thinking?

Pastel colour can be "nice" but a large proportion of the Dashboard is doing it's best to be invisible - and no option to change it!

PLEASE FIX ASAP!

Re: UniFi SDN Controller 5.9.29 Stable has been released

Thank you @Frankedinven, this works! (it is similar to a solution proved by @RIA-Wieckhorst

This area seems to be poorly (not at all?) documented by Ubiquity, including the change in 5.9...

And is there a way to change the graph scale so it is 10Mbps instead of 50Mbps?

-- Edit: after some hours the graph scale changed to 10Mbps.

Or better, is there's a way to modify the curent dashboard so it looks like the old one? The new one is mostly of no use to me.

Re: UniFi SDN Controller 5.9.29 Stable has been released

Adam - I ran into similar issues... what I did was SSH into each affected device and run "info" --- i noticed the unifi server had defaulted to its default state --- once I issued the "set-inform (sitename)" it was all good.

Were your devices on firmware 3.9.42? That might explain DNS issues. If not, I'll wait with the upgrade until it's explained / fixed by ubnt. Thanks

I changed absolutely nothing, just upgraded controller to 5.9.29 and now USG3 CPU started rising, and is now sitting at 34%. I double checked to make sure nothing got enabled such as IDS/IPS or Smart Queues, nope everything is still the same...

Looking at the graph for the last 2 days, it was stable at 3% the whole time, no matter what I did during the day (I work from home).

Re: UniFi SDN Controller 5.9.29 Stable has been released

I upgraded from 5.8.30 (UCK G2). All is fine except I have lost clients Wifi satisfaction column. Is this bug, intention or just my problem?

Hello @Kisch,

They removed it for the time being, not sure if it will ever come back.

Re: UniFi SDN Controller 5.9.29 Stable has been released

Dns issues have not been resolved since firmware 3.9.27.8537
I even had an open ticket, but no sollution offered.
At random devices that connect (without disconnect at first).
Multiple sites and locations...
I tried every new firmware, but have to downgrade each time to 3.9.27.8537 to solve the random connect events.

Re: UniFi SDN Controller 5.9.29 Stable has been released

Greetings,

After upgrading my Cloud Controller (self-hosted on ubuntu) from 5.8.30 to 5.9.29, I had a few caching issues in Chrome which caused several site errors, however clearing Chrome's cache fixed that.

A problem I still have is that my Let's Encrypt certificate no longer seems to be recognised.

I use the command:

certbot-auto certonly

wich works fine. Then I create a PKCS #12 certificate with the command:

openssl pkcs12 -export -inkey /etc/letsencrypt/live/mysubdomain.mydomain.com/privkey.pem -in /etc/letsencrypt/live/mysubdomain.mydomain.com/fullchain.pem -out /home/ubuntu/cert.p12 -name ubnt -password pass:temppass

which also works. I then add it to the UniFi keystore:

keytool -importkeystore -deststorepass aircontrolenterprise -destkeypass aircontrolenterprise -destkeystore /var/lib/unifi/keystore -srckeystore /home/ubuntu/cert.p12 -srcstoretype PKCS12 -srcstorepass temppass -alias ubnt -noprompt

(which it does) and restart the service.

Now all of that works fine without errors, but it seems that the new UniFi 5.9.29 doesn't use or recognise that keystore anymore?

Does anyone know where I should put the certificate for UniFi to use it?

Thanks

Kenneth

Hi, what are these DNS issues you're talking about? Are they UAP related or USG/USW? Can you point me to the right posts about it? What are these randon connect events? Any post about that? Just curious.

Re: UniFi SDN Controller 5.9.29 Stable has been released

I received the update via the Ubuntu repository 2 days ago, and updated my devices to the 3.9.54 firmware. Nothing to complain about for now.

I have a Problem with IDS. My Controller log says:
