UniFy Cloud Key

Hello.

Why my UniFi Cloud Key is not in the DEVICES tab but in the CLIENTS tab?

Thanks.

Re: UniFy Cloud Key

Because it is not a device. It has no properties you can set. It’s just a client that happens to run the controller.

Hello @Franckdu,

Welcome to the community!

Because it's not a device that you can configure via the UniFi Controller.

Re: UniFy Cloud Key

It doesn't conform to their definition of a "device".

But it *could* with a little work. And iMO that would be an improvement.

Obviously you *can* manage/configure it from the controller to some extent. For instance you can install it's firmware, and do shutdown/restart. But the way you do these is different than with *devices*. And some things can only be done from it's it' GUI.

If it were reclassified as a *device* then potentially everything you can currently do from the CK's own GUI could be available from the Properties page.
