There is a bad bug where Unifi devices placed behind a router that is configured to hand out a search-domain starting sith a number e.g. "365training.lan" will set "search" in /etc/resolv.conf on the WAP to "bad". This then causes the device to fail to contact the controller, fail to show up for adoption, go offline etc.

The bug was fixed upstream almost 2 years ago, can we please get an updated binary ASAP??

Please, recompile busybox with FEATURE_UDHCPC_SANITIZEOPT turned off, or - preferably - patch or update to a busybox versions that fixed the broken behaviour.

Thanks for the tag @doktornotor. Yes we need to update that, I opened a bug ticket for the UAP firmware team.

Does the bug only affect UAP? What about USG, USW etc? Just want to make sure all bases are covered

It doesn't affect USG. USW and UAP come from the same repo so both covered by that.

Can anyone from UBNT give an idea of when the fix will be rolled in? I'd like to know if will be days/weeks/months so I can plan to wait it out or implement workarounds now. We have some networks affected by this.
