I have been using unifi AP HD since late 2017 and around late 2018 I have been having internet dropping on my pixel 2XL. I would have full wifi bar on my device but nothing will load on my phone. This issue will linger around 20 seconds and during this time I would check my ISP on my hardwire desktop and it would be just fine.
Initally I thought it was my outdate firmware on AP b/c I did not update it since the late install of 2017 -- but I decided to add a nanoHD Monday (11March2019) and redo my whole network. It's very basic but I redid everything from scratch. However, intermittnet dropping occurred twice again last night while I was connected to the AP HD. I decided to stop SSID on AP-HD and only connect to nanoHD, this morning it occurred once but not as long.

Can you ping the gateway?
Can you ping google DNS?
Do you have Auto-Optimize Network enabled?
Settings > Site > Auto-Optimize Network
