60G Link

[ Edited ]

Saw this hit the beat store and is now coming soon. Anyone alpha test or have one and have any details on specs or real throughput, max distance etc?

60 GHz/5 GHz radio system with 1 Gbps+ of throughput.

Re: 60G Link

sucks no data sheet on any beta products, but this one from what I heard from an alpha tester, is REALLY small, like the size of the 5AC-16 nanobeam.

agree, they need a Gen2 420mm one for longer-range, and of course a precision alignment mount

Looks to be 17dB antenna for 60Ghz and 10dB for 5Ghz.

Their FCC application was just processed. Here is the link: https://fccid.io/SWX-60GL

Re: 60G Link

With those specs the 60 GHZ RSSI should be about -70 at 200 meters. Not sure what signal level is needed for each modulation level but that might be close to the maximum distance at high data rates. With the fall back radios the maximum range would be higher though.

Re: 60G Link

People like me refreshing the page 1000 times a day probably pissed it off

Re: 60G Link

About had a heart attack when it disappeared from early access.  I really need to get a few to test before committing and the water tower is coming in the fall...

I was tied up all day yesterday and didn't check EA once.

Re: 60G Link

I've been checking every 3-4 hours every day. I was told "very soon" even by a super user, then all of a sudden it's pulled and never back. I suppose they noticed a major hardware issue that made them pull it from early access beta

Re: 60G Link

Not that I know of. UBNT just playing mind games with people as usual. They keep changing it, pulling it off, putting it back with coming soon, pulling off, putting it back as sold out, etc.

I'm sure it'll be in stock and sell out within and hour during the one hour I'm unable to check. Like LTU, just another tease

Any updates? Still showing "sold out" in the beta store, and I don't know if they were ever available.

Re: 60G Link

Like LTU, I had hope for a while then eventually just gave up...

I see now it was just UBNT's way of letting us know it's in the works, is all I can think of

Re: 60G Link

I hope they make it PoE+. My one gripe about the NanoBeam Gen2 is that it's only 24V and it's not exactly plug and play without an extra adapter on the Unifi 60W switch.
