Given iOS restricted arp table how about querying unifi controller if one has one...

...or other strategies like listening to upnp, bonjour, multicast etc?

I am not an expert and don't play one on TV.
Don't forget RTFM https://www.ubnt.com/downloads/guides/UniFi/UniFi_Controller_V5_UG.pdf it really is impressive documentation.

Re: Given iOS restricted arp table how about querying unifi controller if one has one...

Quering Unifi controller would require logging into it since it's designed to not give you any info otherwise. Also we want to keep WiFiman app small, slick and independent from Unifi at this moment.

We are doing our best to show you all possible info about discovered devices but iOS is generally very thorough in hiding mac addresses from developers.
