Bulk changes

Has anyone figured out how to use AC2 to push changes to many devices?

AC1 used to have a means to send a CLI command but not see that in AC2.

If not in AC2, anyone else have a way to send a cli command to many devices?

Re: Bulk changes

AC2 also already uses cli/ssh for management but network configuration and airOS 7/8 isn't supported for now.
AirOS 7/8 management will be integrated after AC2.1 is coming to stable release.
Mass network configuration will be available with AC2.2.

In the meantime you can try the scripts some guys wrote for individual changes (available here in forum)

Do you know the cli command to add and IP alias address?

I dont want to edit the /tmp/system.cfg file but just issue a route add command or something like that.

I'm working on a script I can run on a Windows box that will do the following:

  1. Read an IP for a CPE from a .txt file
  2. SSH into the CPE and issue a CLI command to add an IPalias to the unit. The IPalias(s) to add will be in another .txt file and will be the same to all CPEs in the first .txt file.
  3. Save settings and reboot CPE.

The CPE will have between 1 and 3 existing IPalias’ already so I’m hoping we can just run an ipconf or route add or something like that to add the 1 or more new IP aliases.

Re: Bulk changes

afaik... it's done in 'system.cfg' but you should ask in AirOS forum:
