AF-24 Ethernet Data

I have a pair of AF-24's connecting two buildings together and noticed today that on one of the buildings under the Ethernet section of the Dashboard it was reading 10mb, but the other one was reading 1000mb. I just looked again and the one that had 10mb now says reserved-full. Any idea what this is telling me? Thanks.

Re: AF-24 Ethernet Data

That indicates a value is being read internally that is not defined. Can you grab a support dump and then reboot?

Here is the support dump. It is still saying reserved full after the re-boot. I am having a difficult time keeping this online as well. It keeps dropping off the network. I have to go unplug it from the POE Injector and plug it back in and it will run for about 45 minutes to an hour and drop off the network again...

Hi,

The support dump shows the Ethernet transceiver is no longer responding. If a reboot did not recover it, you could try power cycling. Otherwise, the unit has failed and needs to be repaired/replaced.

Was this unit installed with lighting protection and grounding?

Re: AF-24 Ethernet Data

Thanks Chuck. When I cycle the power it will work for a short while then fall off the network. Yes, it was installed with protection and grounded. Thanks.

Re: AF-24 Ethernet Data

I have the TX Power (EIRP) at 15dBm... Is that too high for the distance (127m / 417ft)?

Re: AF-24 Ethernet Data

You have RxGain set to low which cuts about 8dB off of the sesitivity. -66dBm is the minimum number for 6x and you are at -50 (actually, -58 with Rx Gain set to low for sensitivity purposes). I think this looks good.
