Re: Poor Signal Aifiber 5X

We need to know more about the installation.

What antennas are you using?

Have you used link.ubnt.com t plan the link?

Do you have line of sight?

[ Edited ]

1) For 13-14km link you should use higher gain antenna on both sides (29-30dBi).

2) Reduce conducted Tx power to 21dBm (44dBm EIRP with 23dBi antenna).

3) Check your RF environment, there might be some interference on master side.

M.

Re: Poor Signal Aifiber 5X

If you are using 30dBi antennas, you should set the correct antenna gain on the wireless tab.

Once you have the correct gain set, you will see that your actual signal is pretty far off from what the IDEAL power is.

So, set the correct antenna gain and realign your link. Once finished, post new screenshots.

Re: Poor Signal Aifiber 5X

Now that your gain is set correctly, you can see that you are missing several dB of signal.

Alignment should fix this as long as you have a proper line of sight.

Please realign to get a -52 signal and post results.

Re: Poor Signal Aifiber 5X

Hi,

Either your aim is STILL bad, or you have an obstruction/reflection in your path.

Re: Poor Signal Aifiber 5X

Were you able to align the link any better?

Are you sure that you have a clear line of sight?

Re: Poor Signal Aifiber 5X

Hi,

This looks to be aim, but could be an obstruction/reflection situation...is your fresnel zone clear?

Re: Poor Signal Aifiber 5X

Hi,

Also, is the frequency chosen the cleanest?
