hi, every time i log into any of the litebeams running this software then there is a crash report. they reboot and connect ok, but yeah no good
best performing software is still 8 beta 19
the rest of the network is running this and is fine apart from performance not as good as 7
will be rolling back to 7 now i have figured out what version i was running 18 months ago and it was much faster than anything with 8 in the name
ditto now that it is not a mixed environment then will be rolling back all 6 devices to 5, which again was much faster
ubnt have pulled all these versions from their website but with a bit of hunting around i found then all and have the complete collection now

I also had my first crash on a PBE AC Gen2 on 8.1.4 today - so the problem isn't completely gone yet. However, other units that had several crashes on 8.1.3 has been stable since upgrading to 8.1.4 (knock on wood...).

When you guys say "crash", are you referring to the "unexpected reboot" message you get on login? I have 6 Nanobeam AC-16's that are doing this a lot, on the very latest firmware.

Same problem here. "Reboot unexpected"...
LiteBeam 5ac16 PTMP -> 20~25 users with LiteBeam 5AC 23.
Random reboots/crash for everyone... Mainly with large volumes of traffic.
Many RX erros on Switch port (1000 full, HP Network)... I'll change to FAST.. I read that this can help.
Some files provided to Ubiquiti support... probably we'll need to upgrade and have lucky!!!

This (the watchdog reboots) has been a known issue in the beta forums for about 6 weeks (https://community.ubnt.com/t5/airMAX-AC-Beta/Repost-8-1-3-betas-being-quot-reset-by-watchdog-quot/td...)
If you are running a Gen1 radio I would flash back to 8.0.2. If you are on Gen2, you should be safe on 8.1.2-beta2 (https://community.ubnt.com/t5/Product-Testing-Firmware/airOS-v8-1-2-Has-Been-Released-for-Beta-Store...)
If you want to stay on 8.1.3 or 8.1.4 you can also try
1. download config backup
2. open backup in text editor and add "airview.status=disabled" as last line (without quotes)
3. restore backup to radio
4. reboot radio
Keep in mind everything above here is just my personal opinion and experience. There are people who are having this issue on 8.0.2 but it is not nearly as common. And there are people with 100's of radios on 8.1.4 with no reboots.

Thanks for the clue... I downgraded the firmware to 8.0.2, I'm using 5AC16 PTMP and 20 costumers with 5AC23 all Gen 1.
I downgraded a PTP with two 5AC23 gen1 to... the performance stay good at last 24 hours.
At this week I'll monitor throughput and uptime x connection time and post here the result.
I've never worked with version 7... can be a better choice?

I am 100% happy with 8.1.2 / 8.0.2 although I only manage two very simple PtP links. There seem to be some that prefer 7 but I have no experience with it, I jumped from 5.something (an M device) straight to to 8.1.2 on an AC Gen2

I've been seeing this a lot on our CPE's as well that are using 8.1.4. They crash, reboot and reconnect but it's problematic for our SCADA systems. Our users get all kinds of alarms are their SCADA systems because of the interruptions.

Upgrading Nanobeam AC Gen2 to 8.3.1 or 8.3.2 from 8.3 with wireless mode set to "Access Pont ptp" on one antenna.
I constantly (3-4 minutes frequency) get this watchdog error message:
Device crashes can be caused by unstable power. Please check PoE adapter, ethernet cable and connectors."
