Can´t connect to Nanostation M2 as access point

I have made the configuration as in the manuals, i can access the Nanostation M2 and configure it, i can do a ping to 192.168.1.20 but i can´t connect to the wifi with the Nanostation M2.
The nanostation is connected to a Netgear cable gateway.
Any help?

Did you set 20MHz bandwidth? How are you pinging the Nano?

'jorge....' I sense you are trying not to connect
to the Netgear device--but to repeat it. A
Ubiquiti radio will not repeat the signal of another
radio, unless it is another Ubiquiti radio. Dave

Re: Can´t connect to Nanostation M2 as access point

Well, what i want is to set the NanoStation to act as an access point, not as a repeter of the wifi signal that i already have, as i know if i want the nanostation to act as a repeater i don´t have to connect it to the netgear, i only have to connect the POE. Is that true?

Ok, what you have the most common set up that should work with minimal set up.
You have something very basic not set right. Default the radio and start over.

What exactly is the "something very basic" that is not set right?

Thanks. I'm trying to troubleshoot a similar problem.

Re: Can´t connect to Nanostation M2 as access point

Hi, I had same problem. AP is seen by clients (android phones and linux laptops) but unable to establish a connection.

Thanks to this thread turning off AirMAX and switching to 20MHz channels makes them connect.

Questions:

* Why 40MHz channel does not work? Other routers I have switch to 20MHz channels automatically if 40 are too noisy. Why do I need to set 20MHz manually for nanostation m2?

* Is airSelect compatible with conventional wi-fi devices or will changing frequencies lead to disconnects?

Thank you.
