CCQ reporting was changed to be more accurate in 6.1.8. What other symptoms were you seeing (other than CCQ)?
Enhancements: - Improved CCQ calculation and reporting

I've seen mixed results with 6.1.8, however, I upgraded a rocket XW AP from 6.1.7 to 6.1.8 and saw DFS radar detected on several of the 5.5 channels, causing the AP to set the channel on 5.745 which was really a poor choice, only 2 of 6 clients would reassociate. Tried rebooting 3 times and it did the same thing. Site Survey did not show anything in these freq, Downgraded to 6.1.7 and it stays on 5.5 ghz and all the clients reassociated. Site survey on 6.1.7 shows 3 sites in the 5.5 to 5.6 freq, but all are -80 and above.

My installers used the CCQ level to determine if a connection is OK. With this "correction" my installers feel that their installations are less than the minimum authorized quality and abort the installations.

@luizgodoy You should use Airmax quality/capacity, ccq and signal as a qualtiy guage.
The ccq reporting change is more accurate. The further you are from 100%, the more re-transmissions are happening on the link.
