Best device to use in router mode for temporary network

Looking to set up a temporary network at job site.  I pay for Comcast gigabit at home and was going to use the “public WiFi” they offer but it’s about 2 city blocks away.  What I was thinking I could do was set up a Nanostation in router mode And feed an old Apple AirPort Extreme.  Could this set up work or is there something better?  Not even sure which Nanostation to use.

Re: Best device to use in router mode for temporary network

You would need two Nanostations... any legacy wifi device for homeuse can't connect to an AP two blocks away.
If you have clear line of sight 2x Nanostation 5AC Loco should work.

Re: Best device to use in router mode for temporary network

sorry... but i don't like to watch an almost 30min youtube video setting up a M5 radio, where just reading would take 60 sec.
my first thought was, you're picking up wifi from your home.

So just for using public wifi available in the city, you could try with a Nanostation M5 if you have clear LOS.
Without LOS .... M2 radios may work but through 2 blocks of buildings it's unlikely. to much obstructions between.
