Product recommendation for 3 point

[ Edited ]

Hello,

sorry for my bad english but i'm italian Man Happy

I have to share a 100 mbps fiber connection to other 2 buildings - A don't see C but B see A and C.

A: 658 msl

B: 638 msl

C: 693 msl

1) which is best solutions?

2) can i use only 3 CPE (B in AP and A+C in CLIENT) or it's better to use 4 CPE and create 2 separate bridge ptp?

3) which products it's better for this enviroment? i think Nanobeam NBE-5AC-Gen2 or Nanostation N5-5AC - right?

Thank you Man Happy

Hi,

performancewise it is better to use 2 seperate links. You can set the tx-power wich fit the needs for the length of each link.
If you use one radio as a relais, it brings only a fragment of the possible performace (1/4 to 1/2).

NBE-5AC-Gen2 (19dB) or LBE-5AC-gen2 (23dB) are suitable.

Re: Product recommendation for 3 point

For only a 100Mbps link, you should do well using

a PBE-5AC-300 at each location. That should

provide 200Mbps or better--assuming the paths

are clear and there is no interference.    Dave

Re: Product recommendation for 3 point

Thanks for your reply.

Why PBE-5AC-300?
In THIS  guide, for short distance (max 5km) the products ubiquiti advise are Nanobeam or Nanostation.

Re: Product recommendation for 3 point

Because this is a populated area, and there may be

interference. Because the difference in price is small.   Dave

Re: Product recommendation for 3 point

OK.
For your opinion, it's enough if i use only 3 CPE?

Yes: that's what I tried to say. I see no reason to use

more than one radio at 'B'. Spend the 'extra' money

on an upgrade to the larger radios.    Dave

Re: Product recommendation for 3 point

You can find data sheets on all these products.

I continue to advice NanoBeam for this application.   Dave

I agree with @Dave-D here. NanoBeam is your best choice for this case.

Re: Product recommendation for 3 point

It's cheaper because due to its design it costs us less to make.

Re: Product recommendation for 3 point

both units will be powered by their own adapters, if you want both to be powered off of one addapter you can install a Toughswitch in lieu and it will power both.

Re: Product recommendation for 3 point

Nanobeam has only 1 port at the antenna. Are you thinking about the nanostation?

Re: Product recommendation for 3 point

My Bad, Thats changed since the new versions came out. I've Mostly installed the 1st gen antennas. The nanostations can do it so I would expect the nenobeam to be able to as well.
