200m Poe possible with Nanoswitch in the middle?

[ Edited ]

I am trying to add a new radio to our neighborhood network.  The problem is that to get clear LOS, we need to run cat6 for about 600ft into a clearing.  My plan was to put a nanoswitch at the half-way point, and I'm using a Nanostation 5AC Loco at the end for the radio.  Also, I was going to use the 24V 30W PoE adapters from UBNT.  The only power is at the house (start of the cat6 run).  Will the PoE still work once I've reached the 200m point at the radio?

Probably not. PoE is a tricky animal. You may wish to look into PoE extenders from Tycon Power. But again if you do not have power at that 200m point, then you may have an issue. Even using a NanoSwitch, that relies on PoE @ 200m which still becomes a concern.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll try to run power to the 100m half-way point. That should resolve the issue.
