Bullat M2 replacement compatibility

Hello,

I'm new to this forum, and relatively new to the ubiquiti network material.

I have a PtP network for communicating between 3 NI cRIO systems for operating some hardware, these are equipped with Bullet M2-TIs, two stations and one access point.

Since the M2 is (apparently) discontinued, my supplier recommended a Bullet AC Dual-Band airMAX as replacement.

I have been sent one AC as example to try out, but cannot get it configured to connect to my network as station, is this due to hardware mismatch or should I be able to get this to work?

Thanks

Re: Bullat M2 replacement compatibility

This should be simple enough: upgrade the firmware on

all devices, and place the new 'AC' radio in the access

point position.   Dave

Re: Bullat M2 replacement compatibility

You can connect M2 to AC, but no AC to M2 Man Sad

Re: Bullat M2 replacement compatibility

So replacing my access point M2 by an AC (and setting it to PtMP mixed mode?) would solve the issue then?

@LKraak

Also your M2 stations need latest airOS 6 firmware to connect to Bullet AC.
