LAP-120 randomly crashing

Hi All,

I have a LAP-120 unit that has 3 NS-5ACL's connected to it.

What I am seeing is that the LAP will randomly reboot itself 2 or 3 times in a short period, then it will go offline for around 24hrs and then come back by itself.

I upgraded the FW from 8.5.8 to 8.5.11 on Monday, but still having the same issues.

I also have it where the local device shows the Signal difference per chain exceeds recommended maximum of 5 dBm error, but its generally only on the local unit and not the remote ones...

I ran ethtool -S eth0 and got 30 across all 4 pairs.

I've attached the SUP crash log from this morning.

The installer is onsite at the moment swapping out the injector and checking the cable

The LAP unit has replaced a NS Loco M2 that had been in place with no issues.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Ash

Re: LAP-120 randomly crashing

Correct. mains power GPO. Its in a comms cupboard with a few switches.

The integrator swapped out the original injector and also re-crimped the cable and since then has not had a report of a crash from the client.

Will keep you updated. We have a holiday on Monday so update will come Wednesday next week.

Re: LAP-120 randomly crashing

Its about a 30 meter distance from the injector to the AP... but i find it strange that ethtool shows 0

New SUP file added as well

     SNR for pair 2, dB         : 30
     SNR for pair 3, dB         : 30
     Cable length,m (+/- 20m)   : 0

Re: LAP-120 randomly crashing

This support file is truncated or corrupted so missing a lot of data.

Re: LAP-120 randomly crashing

I will see if I can get a new SUP file today.

The unit is currently powered by a UBNT injector.

Re: LAP-120 randomly crashing

The injector is connected to standard power, correct? Not a battery or other power source?

Re: LAP-120 randomly crashing

Ok, thanks. Spontaneous reboots are typically due to power issues in my experience.
