NanoStation AC Loco No Power?

Hello, i have 2 new nanostation ac loco moddl ns-5acl and they seem dead. Im powering them with 24v 1.25a poe adapters from ubiquiti also. Led on the poe adapters is steady white and blue solid on the nanostation, but i see no wifi ssid to connect to. Any ideas? thanks

Re: NanoStation AC Loco No Power?

The Nanostation 5AC Loco is not wifi. You won't see a wifi SSID that you can connect to from your phones, tablets, or laptops.

If you're trying to make a point to point link between two of them: SET A FREQUENCY. DO NOT LEAVE IT ON AUTO.

Re: NanoStation AC Loco No Power?

You log into the radios one by one by connecting to them over a wire (ethernet)

The radios start out with 192.168.1.20 for an IP address.

Ok, plugged it on the lan and i can ping the device; however, a browser will not get to the UI with 192.168.1.20 for some reason. Any ideas ?

Re: NanoStation AC Loco No Power?

More detail please. Describe everything that is plugged together, and what IP addresses.

Also, do you have a 24V 0.5A Gigabit POE injector? The 1.25A adapter is the wrong one for the Loco (it has POE power on all 4 pairs ... not sure if the Loco is OK with that; it takes POE power on 4,5 and 7,8).

Here is what i have:

UBIQUITI POE-24-30W PoE Injector (24 Vdc, 30W), https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01A9EZSAI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_x.oUCbNVYNZ4H

Re: NanoStation AC Loco No Power?

And it's the wrong one. It's possible the voltage on the extra pairs is holding the Loco in reset mode.

Use a 24V 0.5A Gigabit POE injector; one that puts + on 4,5 and GND on 7,8
