fitting AC radios to older sector antennas

Are the newer rocket AC radios a direct fit the mounts on the older airMAX sector antennas?

I'm pulling out all the older .an stuff as its getting attacked relentlessly.

Also, it seems the LBE-5AC-16-120 is a hell of a lot tidier setup for general use APs, and dead cheap too.  Is there any reason to run the Rocket AC base stations, except for their more robust hardware and 2dB more gain?  (no I dont need the 2dB)

thx

Re: fitting AC radios to older sector antennas

All of the new Rocket AC radios (Rocket AC lite, AC Prism Gen1/Gen2) will clip on to the Rocket M5 antenna brackets. You can simply leave the sector in place and upgrade the rocket to upgrade to 802.11ac.

Re: fitting AC radios to older sector antennas

If your only concern is the radiation pattern, and the additional antenna gain isn't important for your use case then it's perfectly reasonable to drop in a litebeam instead.

Well, they do fit, of sorts.  It's a bit of a juggle though.
