i wanted to ask a question but there is no NEW MESSAGE icon in some of the community areas. so how do i post there ?
my question is about some older nanobeams. they are good for 15 km.
i need to penetrate about 6.5Km of woods,,
what is the likelyhood that the nanobeams will work thru the woods set at max power for a short distance.
most of the woods is pine trees.
has anyone tried this and had luck ?
the nanobeams will be approx 20ft high. but the trees are still much taller.

The Nanobeams claim of 15 Km is with a perfectly clear path and fresnal zone.
Even then they aren't the ideal antenna of choice for such a long link.
That said, obstructions, like trees and buildings and hills quickly stop the signal.
To answer your question, no, they will not work NLOS that distance.
A few hundred yards, maybe.
