Gen2 IsoStation AC Celebrates 5 months of solid uptime
Description

We installed our first AirMax AC IsoStation into production back on December 15th, 2016.

Five months later, it hasn't missed a beat providing a solid 8X link.

This IsoStation AC is located at the pool house built by a well known person I can't mention for privacy purposes. There's an AirMax AC uplink dish at the pool house, and the IsoStation is the link back to the main house.

Because of multiple links at the same location, the IsoStation AC with its horn provides super isolation that provides low noise and a near perfect 146Mbps link on a 20mhz channel.

We've updated the firmware a few times when we remember to, but at this point the firmware is old and it's still working flawlessly with over 70 days of uptime since the last firmware update.

The IsoStation AC is now our main product for all shorter building to building links that we used to use NanoStation for.  We've installed as many as we could get while they were in beta, and ordering more now that they are shipping into distribution.

@ClaudeSS I'm really looking forward to receive first shipments of isoStation tomorrow... It takes a while before we get anything UBNT here in Europe ;-)

@jjonsson we got 5 pcs of ISO Station, we use them as AP not CPE. The results were so bad.

ISO Station AC as AP on a Tower.

PowerBeam AC 300 ISO on customer site.

Distance: 4.4 km

PowerBeam AC:

RX CHAIN 0 / 1: -74 dBm / -76 dBm

TX POWER: 14 dBm

ISO Station AC:

RX CHAIN 0 / 1: -71 dBm / -64 dBm

TX POWER: 14 dBm

Both Antennas are aligned directly to each other.

There is no destruction on that link, this is compleatly free line of sight.

@RcRaCk2k "we got 5 pcs of ISO Station, we use them as AP not CPE. The results were so bad."

You're using the wrong product at that distance.... "Distance: 4.4 km"

I wouldn't use horns for a distance longer than 1.8 km. For that long distance use sectors (AC-21 dbi 60 degree) and a larger CPE, preferable AC-500...

AC Anonymous Celebrity.  I see what you did there.

600m from poolhouse to main house.  I thought that my 80m was huge.

The place is about 2,400 acres. The pool house and main house are very close together in the bigger scheme of things.
