Why would you stream packets to wireshark when you are already getting that info directly via ssh? grep is an amazing tool.

because i cannot check every sec SSH and tcpdump connection, i use wireshark because i can save packets.
is it possible to capture ubnt wlan in Promiscuous mode ?

I don't believe netcat is part of the base build.

Apparently I have been living under a rock. Looking closer, it was included up until at least 5.5, but isn't around in 5.5.2 and later. There are other ways still

For my test bench Internet ( ie: ISP) is connected to Ubiquity Base station (Rocket M2) it's connected to Nano Station M series (NSM2) and then to router then to PC
ISP > Basestation > Nanostation > Router > PC
If I connect end users to the router, how can I sniff the packet data through PC ?
Methods or any software ?
Can I sniff directly from the base station and view it on PC ? or any way to run Wireshark on a base station or nanto station ?
I tried using PRTG for ubiquity networks and tried to add SNMP sensor but it doesn't work .
Thank you in advance

In ssh, simply use the following command :
ssh username@ip "tcpdump -ni [interface] -w -" >dump.pcap
You execute remotely the tcpdump command using the parameter -w that output the result to stdin.
The output is also redirected to a local file called dump.pcap.
Note the "-" after the "-w" that will output to stdin

You can also use plink.exe (cli puTTY) to stream tcpdump via SSH. You'll need to download plink.exe and have already logged into the radio via plink or putty.
plink.exe -ssh -pw ubnt firstname.lastname@example.org "tcpdump -ni ath0 -s 0 -w - not port 22" | "C:\Program Files\Wireshark\Wireshark.exe" -k -i -
This will show all packets on ath0 (wireless) excluding SSH.
