Hi dear friends!

At WiFi Solutions we provide indoor WiFi mainly to hospitality customers at Málaga, south Spain.

This time, one of our best customers, Luxotour, offered us to provide free WiFi for five days during 11:00 till 06:00AM at Torremolinos´s Fair 2016, as something that never has been done before in this area. We agreed at the moment!

We had the best WiFi hardware used at hotels:

- 2 UAP 1st generation.

- 1 UAP Outdoor.

- 1 Router.

- 1 modem-router 4G with unlimited data ( Movistar ).

- 1 #somosubiquiti shirt to be proud of Smiley Very Happy

- 60 meters of UTP cat 5 cable.

Statistics:

- Number of devices connected: 241

- Traffic: 67GBs, from Wed to Sunday. 23:00 to 06:00AM

- We saw at least a 10% of connections coming from other neighbour places!

As you see UniFi was again the best solution for this scenario. Hope you enjoyed our story!

May take you up on that at some point ;-)

@alex_cambui someone had wrote a script on the forums to make them flash - you'd just need to write a DMX512 -> SSH interface and wire it into the lighting controller Man Very Happy

Very nice, looks a great party! Did you develop the hotspot software or do you use somebody else's?

Good  one  ! But you should not install an ap directly on a metal surface , this can result into problems.

It would be nicer if you put a piece of wood between the metal surface and the ap.

metal -> wood -> ap

Indeed, installing AP’s directly to metal will change the antenna characteristics complete!

In this case the metal will work as an antenna reflector!
