Did a basic install of the mfi package on Linux Mint 17 XCFE. No errors on install, started up and is running but there is no web UI present. Am I missing something?
I've done a lot of installs of other Ubnt packages on Linux. Usually don't have trouble save for a few Java kinks.

What version of mongo db is it running? Should be 2.4.x.
Anything in the logs? ( /var/log/mfi )
Are you seeing anything running on ports 6080 / 6443 / 37017 when you run netstat?

No errors, looks fine
WARN DynamicConnectionStatus - Server seen down: /127.0.0.1:37017
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused
Installed mFi controller on Ubuntu 12.04 fine, maybe Mint 17 is no go? Maybe a java version issue?
Forgot to mention:
Mint LInux is 64 bit
Ubuntu 12.04 is 32 bit

My ubuntu 14.04 lists this for java -version
java version "1.6.0_34"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.13.6) (6b34-1.13.6-1ubuntu0.14.04.1)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.25-b01, mixed mode)
I know there are problems with Java8 on Windows, not sure about Linux.

Also check and make sure there's enough disk space, etc (although I'd think that would be a mongo issue)
.... Just looked in my /etc/init.d/mfi - shows some checks supporting 6 / 7 but then
Not sure if that gets generated at install or if newer java versions create a symbolic link there.... Not sure what Java versions others are running but looks like forcing 6 might be worth a shot.

Thanks, I'll try it. I have an ancient HP box running 12.04 that I use for a backup AirControl if our primary ever quites, I can use it for the moment. Just getting my foot in the door with this mFi stuff. I'm sure I'll move it to a dedicated server if I start using it a lot.

My init shows the same on 12.04 support for 6 and 7 but seems to call on 6 for startup. Make sure you restart mfi after installing jdk6
Walks in, tells it like it is, walks out , milks a cow

Help Please. I have been running mFi controller on windows systems but it just isn't stable for any period of time. For the first time I have installed mint on a computer recently. Installed the newest version of java for linux and have it working. But i can't figure out how to install the mFi controller for linux.
